RATING REVALUATION 2010
As you may know, the Rating system operates on a five yearly Revaluation Cycle, the current one having started on 1st April 2005.
The next one is scheduled to come into force on 1st April 2010 and the Valuation Office (the Government Agency responsible for Rating) is starting to collate information in order to produce the new Rating List for 2010.
It is far too soon to be able to predict how your Ratable Value will change in two years time, but you should seek professional advice from suitably qualified Chartered Surveyors like Bissett Kenning & Newiss as soon as possible.
It is important that you instruct your professional advisors at the earliest opportunity so that they have as much time as possible to prepare their evidence before making a formal Appeal.
All Rate Payers should give this matter careful consideration now.
